Worth knowing about Luanda
- Luanda changed airports in 2026. Scheduled passenger operations finished moving out of Quatro de Fevereiro in March 2026, and the airport that now takes them is Dr. António Agostinho Neto International, code NBJ rather than LAD.
- The replacement field is 40 km southeast of the city centre, at Bom Jesus in Icolo e Bengo Province. The airport it replaced stood in the southern part of Luanda itself, so the transfer is now a long one.
- Three terminal buildings sit on the 43 hectare site, served by two parallel runways of 4,000 m and 3,800 m.
