Worth knowing about Mostar
- Mostar is linked to Sarajevo by rail: the federation railway operator ZFBH runs two Talgo services a day in each direction on the Capljina - Mostar - Konjic - Sarajevo route.
- The railway to Sarajevo climbs the Ivan pass through a 3,223 m tunnel opened in 1931, so a long stretch of the journey is underground.
- Mostar International Airport is 7.4 km southeast of the city's railway station, and most of its scheduled routes are seasonal rather than year-round.
- The Sarajevo-Ploce standard-gauge line through Mostar opened in 1968 and was electrified in 1969.
- Mostar Bus, the city operator, publishes 17 city and suburban lines. Lines 10 and 12 run from Sjeverni logor to Blagaj, and line 48 runs from Mostar to Medjugorje.
- Mostar Bus tells riders to download its app and buy a ticket there, and publishes an interactive map with real time bus positions and calculated arrival times at each stop.
