- CUR is the island's only airport, 12 km from Willemstad on the north coast, so there is no alternative arrival point on Curacao.
- The airport's amenities list has no SIM card or mobile phone counter, so arriving without connectivity already arranged means waiting until you reach town.
- Curacao stays on Atlantic Standard Time (UTC-04:00) all year and never shifts for daylight saving, so its offset from Europe and North America changes twice a year.
- Curaçao's public buses come in two sizes: large Konvoi buses and small vans called Bus. Most leave from terminals in front of the post offices in Punda and Otrabanda, and schedules are on the ABC website and in the ABC app.
- Taxis on Curaçao are government-regulated and have no meters. Fares are mostly standard, so ask the driver the price to your destination before you set off.
