- Roseau has two airports and most people land at the far one. Canefield is 5 km north of the capital but has a 954 metre runway for turboprops and light aircraft, while most visitors arrive through Douglas-Charles, the larger field with the longer runway.
- The ferry terminal is in the heart of Roseau, and FRS Express des Îles links it to Guadeloupe, Martinique and St Lucia.
- Bring cash for the boat. The harbour tax on the Martinique ferry is payable only in cash at the ferry terminal, on top of the online ticket.
- Dominica runs an online ED card for arrivals, and it should be submitted no more than three days before you travel.
