Worth knowing about Tartu
- Tartu Airport stands at Reola in Ulenurme Parish, 10.9 km south southwest of Tartu.
- Airport shuttle E1 links the terminal with Tartu city centre and runs on to Annelinna Centre for early morning and late night flights.
- The airport opened on 15 May 1946 and has been run by Tallinn Airport Ltd since 2005, with Finnair's Helsinki route its only scheduled service.
- The Estonian Aviation Academy flies training flights from a facility next to Tartu Airport, and Tartu University Clinic uses it for medical flights.
- Tartu has a free wifi network called Tartu WiFi. It covers Town Hall Square, Central Park and the surrounding areas along Vabaduse Boulevard and Ruutli Street.
- Tartu also provides public computers with internet at five places, the Information Centre of Tartu in the Town Hall, the O. Luts Tartu City Library, Tammelinna Library, Annelinna Library and Karlova-Ropka Library.
