Underground and on the metro

Worth knowing about Paris
- Since 29 June 2020 the Paris Metro has carried 4G everywhere, in 304 underground stations and their accesses, on platforms, in the tunnels and on board the trains.
- The 4G rollout was announced jointly by RATP, Ile-de-France Mobilites and all four French operators, Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Free Mobile.
- Metro line 14, which is driverless and fully automatic, was extended to Orly airport on 24 June 2024 and reaches Chatelet in about 25 minutes.
- Orlyval is a fully automated shuttle that connects Orly to Antony station on RER B in about 7 minutes.
- RER B links Charles de Gaulle to Gare du Nord in about 28 minutes, running underground once it reaches the city.
