Worth knowing about Forécariah
- Forecariah has no airport. It is a sub-prefecture town in western Guinea in the Kindia Region, so every arrival is overland from Conakry.
- The only railway associated with Forecariah is a proposed heavy duty iron ore line between the Kalia mine and Matakong port. There is no passenger service to plan around.
- Forecariah sits on the way to the Sierra Leone border, and the authorities may close that border at short notice, so an overland exit is not something to count on.
