Worth knowing about Ulaanbaatar
- Ulaanbaatar's international airport moved on 4 July 2021 to Khushig Valley, 52 km south of the city, replacing the old Buyant-Ukhaa field much closer in.
- There is no rail or metro link from the new airport; the only connection is the highway, about 50 km to the city centre.
- The old Buyant-Ukhaa airport could use only one end of its runway because of mountains to the south and east, which is why the airport was relocated.
