Worth knowing about Victoria
- Seychelles International Airport is only 11 km southeast of Victoria and is the single gateway to the country, so there is no alternative arrival airport if a connection is missed.
- The airport has separate domestic and international terminals; inter-island flights to Praslin and other islands depart from the domestic side rather than the international arrivals building.
- Taxi ranks outside the terminal serve all destinations on Mahe, and buses run frequently to the Victoria bus station; there is no rail on the island.
- The airport states that bus cards can be bought online through the Seychelles Electronic Border System or at the airport on arrival, alongside taxis and car hire outside arrivals.
- SPTC's Visitor Travel Card gives unlimited travel on standard buses on Mahe and Praslin: SCR 100 or 5 euro for one day, SCR 198 or 12 euro for four days, SCR 363 or 22 euro for eight days.
- The visitor card is sold at the Information Desk by an SPTC sales officer, card payment only, and at the Airtel kiosk at the airport. Collection is at the Information Desk between 06:00 and 18:00.
- SPTC says the visitor card arrives pre-activated: you tap it on the bus card reader and board, and one card covers one passenger only.
- SPTC's mobile app tops up a transport account and lets you board using a QR code. It is published for iOS and Android.

- Cat Cocos states crossing times of 1 hour 15 minutes Mahe to Praslin, 1 hour 10 minutes Mahe to La Digue direct, and 15 minutes Praslin to La Digue.
- Cat Cocos has sold passage between Mahe, Praslin and La Digue since 1998, from an Inter-Island Quay sales office in Victoria and jetty offices on the two other islands.
