- The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority quotes about 40 minutes to Kampala by yellow-labelled airport taxi and about an hour by public commuter minibus; there is no rail link, only taxis, car hire and commuters.
- The airport is joined to Kampala by the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway, a four-lane toll road, so an airport transfer normally includes a toll charge.
- Uganda's regulator requires non-Ugandans to buy a SIM in person at an operator service centre with an original valid passport plus a valid visa or residence permit and a recent passport photograph, and the SIM is deactivated when that visa or permit expires.
