What is restricted in Armenia
- Social media: Armenia has seen platform blocking during fighting with Azerbaijan. TikTok became inaccessible for some users four days after the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war began and stayed patchy for weeks, and during the September 2022 border clashes it was unreachable for a week or more depending on the provider.
- VPN: VPNs, anonymity tools and encryption are neither prohibited nor restricted in Armenia, so a visitor can keep a work VPN or an encrypted messenger running as at home.
- Emergency powers: The Law on Electronic Communication lets the government take over the operation and management of any or all electronic communications networks or services during a state of emergency. A December 2022 draft allowing internet and social media blocking under martial law had not advanced by May 2024.

- Armenia is folding 101 for fire, 102 for police and the general 911 line into the single emergency number 112. During the changeover the three older numbers keep working and pass calls to 112 automatically.
- The single emergency number 112 went live on 15 February 2026. It connects callers with the police and the rescue service, both under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in a single call, so both can respond together.
- To get an ambulance anywhere in Armenia, call 911 and ask for an ambulance with an English speaker.
