Santo Domingo Metro runs 2 lines. It opened in 2009. The operator does not publish whether the tunnels carry a mobile signal, so we do not claim either way.
Worth knowing about Santo Domingo
- Las Américas offers free, unlimited wifi on the "_VINCI Airports Wi-Fi" network, but it is behind a browser sign-in that asks for an email address and country of residence so you need to complete a captive-portal page before anything works.
- Both Claro and Altice have staffed outlets in the public area of level 1 at Las Américas, selling chips and activating roaming, open daily including Sunday mornings unusual for a Caribbean arrivals hall.
