Getting into Pristina
- Bus 1A between Pristina bus station and the airport, every two hours (PRN)
- M9 motorway from the airport, joining the R7 (PRN)
- Pristina railway station, two local pairs a day to Peja and one InterCity pair to Skopje via Fushe Kosove
Worth knowing about Pristina
- Prishtina is Kosovo's only international airport, which makes it the country's only air port of entry. There is no alternative field to divert to inside Kosovo.
- Serbian air traffic control refuses overflight of Serbian airspace for Prishtina traffic, so flights come in through Albanian or North Macedonian airspace instead. That detour adds up to about 30 minutes to the flight.
- The 1A bus runs every two hours, the first leaving the city bus station at 07:00 and the last at 23:00, and the first leaving the airport at 08:00 and the last at midnight. A flight that lands off that clock means a taxi.
- There is no rail link to the airport. A feasibility study exists, but as of mid 2025 no construction had been planned.
- From Pristina station the only passenger services are two local pairs a day to Peja, close to two hours each way, and a single InterCity pair to Skopje. The line north to Serbia has been closed for years.
