Worth knowing about Da Nang
- Da Nang airport sits inside the city: Vietnam Airlines puts it approximately 3 kilometres southwest of the city centre, 10 to 15 minutes by taxi in normal traffic. Vietnam's national tourism board gives about five kilometres.
- DAD is the arrival airport for central Vietnam generally: Vietnam's national tourism board states it is 29 kilometres from Hoi An Ancient Town and 98 kilometres from Hue.
- The road north from Da Nang to Hue runs through the 6,280 m Hai Van Tunnel on National Route 1, opened 5 June 2005, which cut 20 km off the old Hai Van Pass route.
- The airport has two separate terminals, one international and one domestic; international Terminal 2 was added in 2017.
