- Der Flughafen liegt nicht in Manama: Er liegt auf der Insel Muharraq, etwa 7 km vom Geschäftszentrum Manamas entfernt und über einen Damm von über 2.8 km erreichbar.
- Alle drei bahrainischen Mobilfunkanbieter, Batelco, stc und Zain, haben Filialen im Ankunftsbereich des Flughafens, eine physische SIM lässt sich also noch vor dem Verlassen des Terminals kaufen.
- Das WLAN am Flughafen ist bis zu 6 Stunden kostenlos und braucht keine Registrierung, das reicht für einen langen Umstieg, aber nicht für eine Nacht.
