- Sarajevo airport gives 60 minutes of free wifi at the departure gates on the network "PASSENGER ZONE", where you just tap I Agree. In the arrivals area and main hall the free allowance on "PASSENGER_ZONE" is only 15 minutes, and longer vouchers are sold in the terminal cafes.
- The Centrotrans airport bus crosses the whole city to Bascarsija and ends at Bentbasa. Tickets are sold by the driver or in the CentroCard app; the first bag up to 23 kg rides free, while a second or heavier bag costs 5 KM.
- The airport bus runs roughly hourly from early morning until about 23:30, with some departures on weekdays only, some at weekends only and some every day, so check the timetable against your landing time.
- Every rider on Sarajevo's trams, trolleybuses and buses needs a ticket, which is cheaper at a kiosk than from the driver, and it must be validated as soon as you board. Tram line 3 runs the length of the city between Bascarsija and Ilidza.
- The main railway station is a ten-minute walk from the centre, and trams 1 and 4 stop right outside it. Daily trains serve Mostar, Banja Luka, Zenica and Konjic, and the Mostar line passes through more than 100 tunnels along the Neretva canyon.
- Sarajevo has two coach stations. Buses to Banja Luka, Mostar, Tuzla and other Federation towns leave from the main station, while Srebrenica, Trebinje, Visegrad, Belgrade, Novi Sad and Podgorica are served from Lukavica.
- Most Sarajevo taxis start at 1.5 KM and add 1 KM per kilometre, according to the cantonal tourism board. Nextbike bikes give 30 free minutes a day, and BeeBee e-scooters are unlocked in an app registered with a mobile number.
- Drivers whose green card does not cover Bosnia and Herzegovina must buy insurance at the border. Winter driving rules apply from November to April, and the A1 motorway charges tolls between Zenica and Sarajevo and on the Vlakovo to Tarcin section toward Mostar.
- The Trebevic cable car, rebuilt and reopened in April 2018, climbs from 583 m to 1,160 m in about seven minutes. The City of Sarajevo gives its address as Hrvatin bb and lists daily hours of 9:00 to 17:00.
