- Im Terminal kannst du keine lokale SIM kaufen: Die FAQ des Flughafens sagt, er verkauft keine, und verweist auf Geschäfte in der Blue Mall PUNTACANA etwa 5 Minuten entfernt; komm mit bereits installierter eSIM an, sonst landest du offline.
- Punta Cana International ist in Privatbesitz und wird von Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este (Grupo Puntacana) betrieben, die ihn 1984 gebaut hat, der erste private internationale Flughafen der westlichen Hemisphäre.
- Die Terminals sind offen und mit Palmwedeln gedeckt, Ankunft und Abflug finden also in der Luftfeuchtigkeit draußen statt und nicht in einer geschlossenen klimatisierten Halle.
