Wissenswertes über Rome
- Rom wird von zwei Flughäfen bedient: Fiumicino, etwa 30 km von der Stadt entfernt, und Ciampino, etwa 12 km süd-südöstlich und überwiegend von Billigfluggesellschaften genutzt.
- Das kostenlose WLAN in Fiumicino braucht kein Konto: Wähle AIRPORT FREE WIFI, und der Browser leitet auf die Anmeldeseite weiter.
- Der Leonardo Express fährt ohne Halt von Fiumicino nach Roma Termini in 32 Minuten, alle 15 Minuten.
- Ciampino hat keinen eigenen Bahnhof; die Verbindung in die Stadt läuft per Reisebus nach Termini oder per Bus zur U-Bahn Endstation Anagnina.
- Die Rome Metro Line C ist vollautomatisch und fahrerlos und verbindet tiefe Tunnel unter dem Zentrum mit Hochbahn und ebenerdiger Strecke im östlichen Außenabschnitt.

- A Tap&Go journey lasts 100 minutes from the first tap, and changes within that window count as one ride. After five rides in 24 hours, the sixth is billed so the day costs no more than a 24-hour ticket. Each traveller needs their own card.
- Rome taxis charge a fixed 55 euro per car, all supplements included, between Fiumicino and anywhere inside the Aurelian Walls, a trip of about 40 to 50 minutes. From Ciampino the fixed fare is 40 euro and the ride about 30 minutes.
- Airport fixed fares apply only to a direct trip to the address given, with no detours or extra pickups. Licensed Rome taxis are white, with TAXI on the roof and the licence number on the front doors; check the meter is on and ask for a receipt.
- The daytime ZTL Centro Storico is closed to unauthorised cars from 6:30 to 18:00 on weekdays and 14:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays, and a night ZTL runs 23:00 to 3:00 on Friday and Saturday, except in August.
