- Non puoi comprare una SIM locale dentro il terminal: le FAQ dell'aeroporto dicono che non ne vende e rimandano ai negozi del Blue Mall PUNTACANA, a circa 5 minuti. Arriva con una eSIM già installata, altrimenti atterri offline.
- Punta Cana International è di proprietà privata ed è gestito da Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este (Grupo Puntacana), che lo ha costruito nel 1984. È stato il primo aeroporto internazionale di proprietà privata dell'emisfero occidentale.
- I terminal sono all'aperto, con tetti coperti di foglie di palma, quindi arrivi e partenze avvengono nell'umidità esterna e non in una sala chiusa e climatizzata.
- È un varco turistico molto grande nonostante il contesto da resort: 11,006,110 passeggeri nel 2025, gestiti attraverso due terminal internazionali, A e B.
