Da sapere su Accra
- L'aeroporto è stato ribattezzato Accra International Airport a febbraio 2026, tornando al nome con cui era stato aperto nel 1958. Il suo codice IATA resta ACC.
- Il tenente generale Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka, il cui nome l'aeroporto ha portato dal 1969, è stato ucciso in un colpo di stato fallito in un punto che oggi è il piazzale dell'aeroporto.
- Accra è un punto di approdo del cavo sottomarino SAT-3/WASC, in servizio dal 2001, e di 2Africa, un sistema da 45,000 km il cui approdo ad Accra è gestito da Bayobab del gruppo MTN.
