- Car rental desks are not in the terminal. They sit in a dedicated annex near the North terminal, and each company runs its own shuttle from beside exit 3 on level 0.
- Only rental firms approved by the airport may hand over cars on site, and using the car parks for commercial handovers or payments is banned, with fines for offenders.
- For cash on arrival, La Poste runs a cash machine and a self-service banking terminal on level 0, and a bureau de change on level 0 of Terminal 1 sells currency and reloadable cards.
- Karu'lis covers six communes, Les Abymes, Baie-Mahault, Pointe-a-Pitre, Le Gosier, Sainte-Anne and Saint-Francois, and runs seven days a week, including some public holidays. The operator says buses come on average every 20 to 30 minutes.
- Every Karu'lis journey must be validated on board, transfers included. Riding without a validation counts as an offence if an inspector checks your ticket.
- The Karu'lis 10 journey pass stays valid for five years and can be topped up at the agency, online, at resellers and at card terminals. It cannot be refunded or replaced if lost.
- Les Abymes has free public Wi-Fi hotspots funded by the EU's WiFi4EU programme. The last one went live in September 2021 at the Bouliqui shops, a rural area with no fixed broadband, behind a captive portal.
- On La Soufriere, the volcano on Basse-Terre, the forestry office ONF installed rescue beacons along test trails in Saint-Claude and Sainte-Rose in 2025 so that rescuers can locate hikers quickly.
- The summit of La Soufriere is about one hour on foot up the Chemin des Dames, reached by the D11 about 5 km from Saint-Claude.
