- Which terminal you land at depends entirely on your airline: Terminal 4 is exclusive to Kuwait Airways and Terminal 5 to Jazeera Airways, both opened in 2018, while other carriers use Terminal 1.
- A new Foster + Partners-designed Terminal 2 is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, with new access routes from the Seventh Ring Road.
- The airport is about 15.5 km south of the city centre, in Farwaniya Governorate rather than Kuwait City itself.
