What you are actually buying

Gigabytes, held in your account, drawn down when a session is billed. Not a ticket for a country, not a window of days, and not a subscription. The balance is the product and everything else in the shop is a way of adding to it or spending it. That is why there is no activation, no validity date and nothing to renew.

How a country pack relates to the wallet

A country pack is priced against the local wholesale, which in some destinations is cheaper than the wallet rate. When the pack ends, whatever is left flows back into the wallet automatically. That rule is what makes the pack safe: it cannot be the worse choice, so you never have to model the trip before you buy one.

Why the price falls as the tier grows

Because our own wholesale cost falls with volume and we pass the shape of it through rather than keeping it. The ladder runs from $4.89 for 1 GB to $67.89 for 50 GB, which is $4.89 a gigabyte at the bottom and $1.36 at the top. There is no tier at which the price per gigabyte goes back up, which sounds obvious until you check the category: Jetpac's own published pricing has a 20 GB plan costing more than their 30 GB plan on every destination we checked.

The wallet ladder

BalancePricePer gigabyte
1 GB$4.89$4.89
10 GB$15.89$1.59
50 GB$67.89$1.36

The full ladder, including the 3, 5 and 20 GB tiers, is on the pricing page. Every figure here is generated from the same file that page reads.

What we do automatically and what needs you

We return pack leftovers to the wallet, apply Price Guard for thirty days after any purchase, and pay Miles at 5% rising to 8% on what you spend. What needs you is nothing at all until the balance runs low, and a top up takes about ten seconds. There is no monthly decision to make and nothing renews without you.

The numbers, and where they came from

The ladder is published on the pricing page and generated from one file, so no two pages can quote different numbers. A 10 GB balance is $15.89 here. A comparable 10 GB expiring ticket from the largest sellers was $29.00 when the listings were checked on 2026-08-24. Two sellers do beat our cost per gigabyte: Roamless charges by the megabyte with no plan at all, and Firsty funds a free tier with advertising.

Where we are more expensive, and who beats us

Two sellers genuinely beat our cost per gigabyte and neither does it with a better wholesale deal. Roamless charges by the megabyte with no plan at all, which is cheaper for someone who uses very little and has no floor to buy over. Firsty funds a free tier with advertising, which is a different product rather than a cheaper version of this one. On raw destination count Airalo reaches 169 against our 145 and wins. We publish all three because a price index that only listed the comparisons we win would be worth nothing, and because you will find them anyway.

Domande frequenti

Does the wallet work in every country you sell?
Yes, in all 145 of them, with no per country purchase. That is the difference between a balance and a ticket. Airalo reaches 169 destinations on its global plan and beats us on that count.
Is a country pack ever better value than the wallet?
In destinations where the local wholesale is cheaper, yes. You do not have to work out which, because leftovers return to the wallet, so the pack can only match or beat the wallet and never lose to it.
Can I get money out of the wallet?
Unused balance can be refunded to the original payment method on request. It is not a stored value account you can spend elsewhere, and we do not pretend it is.
Do Miles come off the wallet or add to it?
They add to it. One Mile is one cent, they do not expire, and you can spend them on anything we sell including renewals and subscriptions. Airalo blocks redemption on renewals and Holafly refuses to let its coins stack with a promo code.
What if the price drops after I top up?
Price Guard credits the difference back to your wallet within thirty days, automatically. A seller of expiring tickets cannot do this, because by the time the price moves the ticket you bought no longer exists.
Can I hold a balance and a subscription at the same time?
Yes, and they add rather than replace. A subscription includes gigabytes every thirty days, applies a standing discount to anything else you buy, and raises the rate you earn Miles at from 5% toward 8%.
What is the cheapest way to buy a gigabyte here?
The 50 GB tier at $67.89, which works out at $1.36 a gigabyte against $4.89 at the smallest tier. Because nothing expires, buying the larger tier once is not a gamble on how much you will travel.
Does a larger tier ever cost more per gigabyte than a smaller one?
No, and we check that it cannot. The ladder is generated from one file and falls monotonically from $4.89 to $1.36 a gigabyte. Jetpac's published pricing does the opposite on every destination we checked, with a 20 GB plan priced above their 30 GB one.
