- Der internationale Flughafen von Belize City liegt nicht in der Stadt: Er liegt in Ladyville, etwa 10 Meilen vom Zentrum entfernt.
- Die veröffentlichten Betriebszeiten des Flughafens sind täglich 06:00 bis 18:00, außerhalb dieser Zeiten gibt es Abfertigung nur auf Anfrage.
- Der Flughafen gibt in seinen eigenen FAQ an, dass er Passagieren kostenloses drahtloses Internet bietet, und dass Taxis nur während der normalen Betriebszeiten vor dem Terminal warten.
- Ein zweiter, rein nationaler Flughafen, Sir Barry Bowen Municipal (TZA), liegt etwa eine Meile vom Stadtzentrum entfernt und bedient die kurzen Sprünge zu den Cayes, ein Inlandsflug kann also von einem anderen Flughafen abgehen als dem, an dem du gelandet bist.

- From Belize City the water taxi takes about 45 minutes to Caye Caulker and about 1 hour 30 minutes to San Pedro. The operator asks passengers to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before departure.
- No boat runs directly between Chetumal in Mexico and Belize City. Passengers from Chetumal clear immigration in San Pedro, stay overnight on San Pedro or Caye Caulker, and continue to the city the next morning.
- Cruise passengers reach Belize City by tender, about 15 minutes from ship to shore, landing at the Fort Street Tourism Village, where the Belize Tourism Board keeps an information desk.
- Check in is split between two terminals: Tropic Air, Maya Island Air, Copa, TAG and Sun Country use Terminal 1, and the other US and Canadian airlines use Terminal 2. Passengers are asked to arrive three to four hours before departure.
- Roadwork and dredging are under way on the access road to the international airport, bringing slower traffic and uneven surfaces. The airport advises leaving extra time for the drive.
