- Granada has no airport of its own and sits 45 km southeast of Managua, so every arrival is a road transfer from Augusto C. Sandino International.
- The road link is the Carretera a Masaya, which runs from Managua through Masaya to Granada.
- Granada sits on the shore of Lake Nicaragua, the world's twentieth largest lake, so boat trips to the lake islands start from the town itself.
- The regulator TELCOR has switched on free wireless internet in 25 parks across Nicaragua, and Parque Central in Granada is one of them.
- TELCOR announced the park wifi scheme on 17 May 2023 to mark World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, and published the list of 25 parks with Parque Central, Granada at number 5.
- Augusto C. Sandino International, the arrival airport for Granada, is 11 kilometres east of downtown Managua, carries the codes MGA and MNMG and operates 24 hours.
- Managua's airport has a single asphalt runway, 09/27, 2,442 m long at an elevation of 59 m, with three ramps and ten international positions served by four boarding bridges.
