- Lahore's Orange Line metro does not reach Allama Iqbal International Airport; the proposed airport rail link, the Purple Line, has not been built.
- Only two of the Orange Line's 26 stations, Anarkali and Central, are underground; the remaining 24 are elevated.
- The airport is about 15 km from the city centre and has three separate terminal buildings, including a dedicated Hajj terminal.
- The Lahore Metrobus began service on 11 February 2013. It spans 27 km with 27 stations along the Lahore to Kasur Road corridor.
- Lahore Metrobus uses barrier controlled, automated off board fare collection. Passengers buy a single ride token or use an RFID Metrobus Card.
- Lahore Metrobus terminals have underground, subway styled approach tubes so passengers avoid crossing high speed roads, plus escalators and motorbike and car parking.
- The Orange Line has a length of 27.1 kilometres. Daily ridership in 2023 was 178,714 passengers.
- Three further Lahore metro lines are proposed, a 24 km Blue Line, a 24 km Yellow Line, and a 32 km Purple Line planned as an airport rail link.
- The Punjab government launched free public Wi-Fi at 50 spots in Lahore. In total the free Wi-Fi service is to be provided at 516 locations in the city.
- Lahore free Wi-Fi spots in the first phase include Liberty Square, M.M. Alam Road, Food Street Chowk, Shadman Chowk, Hussain Chowk, Greater Iqbal Park and Qaddafi Stadium.
- Wagah lies 24 km from Lahore on the historic Grand Trunk Road between Lahore and Amritsar. Wagah railway station is 400 m south of the village and 100 m from the border.
- The Wagah border ceremony happens at the border gate two hours before sunset each day and has taken place every evening since 1959.
- The Samjhauta Express between Old Delhi and Lahore Junction began on 22 July 1976. Pakistan suspended the service on 8 August 2019.
- Lahore Junction railway station was built between 1859 and 1860 in the style of a medieval fort with thick walls and turrets. It has 11 platforms across two levels.
- Allama Iqbal International Airport has a 3,360 m concrete main runway and a 2,743 m asphalt secondary runway, and sits at 213 m elevation.
