- Valencia airport is only 8 km west of the city and two Metrovalencia lines (3 and 5) run directly into it, reaching the centre in about 15 minutes.
- The same metro ride reaches the main railway station, Estacio del Nord, in about 20 minutes and the port in about 30.
- Valencia city hall runs a free WiFi4EU network with more than 300 access points across the city's neighbourhoods, reached through an access portal published in Valencian, Spanish and English.
- The city's free wifi points sit in municipal buildings, district offices and 30 neighbourhood libraries, with further points indoors and outdoors in the rural villages inside the municipality.
- Every WiFi4EU hotspot broadcasts the same SSID, WiFi4EU, and uses a captive portal with simple click to connect. A device that has connected does not need to authenticate again within 12 hours.
- European rules require a WiFi4EU hotspot to be free of charge for its first three years, with no advertising revenue on the captive portal and no personal data provided for commercial purposes.
- EMT Valencia buses take contactless bank cards, phones and watches at the on board machines using EMV technology. The EMTicket app instead generates a QR code that you validate on the bus.
