Las Américas offers free, unlimited wifi on the "_VINCI Airports Wi-Fi" network, but it is behind a browser sign-in that asks for an email address and country of residence so you need to complete a captive-portal page before anything works.
Both Claro and Altice have staffed outlets in the public area of level 1 at Las Américas, selling chips and activating roaming, open daily including Sunday mornings unusual for a Caribbean arrivals hall.
Santo Domingo has a real metro 2 lines, 39 stations, 35.5 km, opened January 2009 (Line 1) and April 2013 (Line 2), mostly underground with some elevated sections but it does not reach either airport, so the airport leg is taxi or road.
The city is served by two airports: Las Américas (SDQ) about 20 km east at Punta Caucedo, run by AERODOM under a VINCI Airports concession, and La Isabela / El Higüero (JBQ) about 10 km northwest, which handles mainly domestic and small regional Caribbean flights.
