Budva 值得知道的事
- Budva has no railway station of its own; the nearest is Sutomore, about 30 km away on the Belgrade-Bar line.
- The inland route from Podgorica to Budva runs through the 4,189-metre Sozina tunnel, opened in 2005, where mobile signal is interrupted.
- Tivat Airport, 20 km away, runs only a few year-round routes and fills with seasonal charters in summer, so out-of-season arrivals often come via Podgorica instead.
- Montenegro Airports states that the use of Wi-Fi is free of charge at both Podgorica and Tivat airports.
- Tivat Airport lists free Wi-Fi, a business lounge in departures, a duty free shop and a tobacco shop selling mobile phone supplements. It does not list a mobile operator or SIM desk.
- Buying a prepaid SIM in Montenegro requires showing an ID card or passport, which the seller scans with a registration app used at authorised distributors since 20 May 2017. The SIM activates only once the data reaches the operator database.
- The regulator EKIP lists a new rulebook on registering users of public electronic communications networks, published in Official Gazette of Montenegro 100/25, entering into force on 15 January 2026.
- The EU and German government funded WiFi4WB scheme is rolling out free public wifi in squares, parks and cultural sites across 24 Montenegrin municipalities. The operator One won the tender, and Danilovgrad was the first municipality.
- Budva city buses are run by Mediteran Express. The local bus station is in Mediteranska street, on the roundabout in the city centre, opposite the cafe restaurant Perla.
- Buses from Budva to Sveti Stefan run every 10 minutes from 06:00 to 22:00, then hourly until 01:30. Buses to Petrovac run hourly from 06:10 to 23:10.
- Sveti Stefan was fortified and settled by the Pastrovici in 1442 with twelve houses, one per tribe, and stayed a fishing village until the city hotel opened on 13 July 1960.
- Montenegro recorded 2,728,564 tourist arrivals and 15,367,166 overnight stays in 2025. Seaside resorts took 92.6 percent of overnights, and foreign tourists 95.8 percent.
- The seasonal drop is steep. In October 2025 the whole country recorded 137,374 arrivals and 374,223 overnight stays in collective accommodation.
- Podgorica Airport buses serve only Podgorica central bus station, run by BTC Zeta, MS Tours and Zejdin, plus a Zejdin link to Ulcinj. Tickets are sold on the bus or at busticket4.me.
- Railway Transport of Montenegro lists staffed stations at Podgorica, Sutomore, Bar, Niksic and Bijelo Polje. Its website offers a timetable search but no online ticket purchase.
