Bergen 值得知道的事
- Bergen's rail link to the airport is light rail, not a metro: Bybanen Line 1 takes 44 minutes from Byparken to Flesland, about twice as long as the bus.
- The Bybanen network runs through several tunnels, including the 1.1 km Wergeland and 1.2 km Fantoft tunnels.
- The light rail only reached Bergen Airport in April 2017; the network's second line opened in November 2022.
- You cannot buy a ticket on board Bybanen, the Bergen light rail. Skyss sells light rail tickets in advance through its app, ticket machines at the stops, SMS, its web shop and customer service.
- On Skyss buses and boats you can pay with cash or by tapping a contactless Visa, Mastercard or Maestro card on the terminal, and that bank card then works as your ticket.
- Skyss says you must have battery and internet access on your phone during the journey so you can show a valid app ticket to an inspector. A ticket takes two minutes from purchase to become active.
- Norwegian rules require an original passport, national ID card, driving licence or BankID to buy a prepaid SIM. Visitors without a Norwegian personal number must show ID giving birth date, birthplace, photograph and citizenship.
- Norway is inside the European Union roaming area. The European Commission says Roam Like At Home activates automatically in the 27 EU countries as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Ukraine and Moldova.
- Bergen Public Library offers free wifi on the network BK-gjest-bib. You select the network and accept the terms of use in your browser. No registration, phone number or library card is needed.
- Bergen Airport Flesland handled 6,306,623 passengers in 2018, making it Norway's second busiest airport after Oslo. The Bergen Light Rail stop at the terminal is underground.
- Bergen is Norway's second largest city after Oslo. The city and municipality had 294,029 residents as of 1 January 2024.
- Bergen has around 200 days a year with over a millimetre of precipitation and is considered the rainiest city in Europe.
- The Floibanen funicular has run since 1918 from Vetrlidsallmenningen in central Bergen to the summit of Mount Floyen, 320 metres above sea level. The ride takes six minutes.
- The Bergen Line to Oslo is 371 km long and opened on 27 November 1909. Its highest point is 1,237 metres above sea level, at the Finse tunnel.
- Bergen's port takes over 300 cruise ship calls a year, bringing nearly half a million passengers. The number has doubled in ten years.
