- Great Western Railway trains into Bath carry free Wi-Fi, but it runs on mobile network data, so it drops where the phone signal does. A fair use policy restricts streaming on board.
- To join the train Wi-Fi, pick "GWR WiFi", open a browser and follow the registration page. Some GWR stations have free Wi-Fi as well.
- Bath Spa station has a taxi rank right outside its main exit, and Bath Bus Station is a minute's walk along Dorchester Street.
- National Express coaches run from London Victoria coach station, Heathrow and Gatwick directly to Bath Bus Station, and Flixbus also serves Bath from across the UK.
- Bath runs a class C Clean Air Zone, charging 24/7. Private cars and motorbikes are never charged, but taxis, private hire cars, vans, coaches and some camper vans pay a daily charge if they miss the emission standard.
- Three Park and Ride sites, Lansdown, Newbridge and Odd Down, ring the city. Buses run up to every 15 minutes and reach the centre in about ten, until 11:30pm Monday to Saturday and 6pm on Sundays.
- Parking at the Park and Ride sites is free if you ride the bus and return the same day. Visit Bath suggests buying digital tickets in advance in the First Bus app, though cash and card work on board.
- Lansdown Park and Ride suits drivers arriving from the M4, Newbridge those coming from Bristol on the A4, and Odd Down those coming from Stonehenge and the south.
- Since September 2023 the council's car parks in Bath charge by vehicle emissions, so diesel and other higher emission cars pay more to park.
- A GWR PlusBus add-on to a rail ticket gives unlimited travel on most buses in Bath's urban area for the day.
- The Great West Way Discoverer Pass covers bus and rail between Bristol and London via Bath, but it is sold only to international travellers before they arrive and cannot be bought in the UK.
