• ターミナル内で現地の SIM は購入できません。空港の FAQ は SIM を販売していないとしており、約 5 分の距離にある Blue Mall PUNTACANA の店舗を案内しています。eSIM を導入してから到着しないと、着いた時点でオフラインになります。
• Punta Cana International は Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este (Grupo Puntacana) が所有し運営する民営空港で、1984 年に同社が建設した、西半球で初めての民間所有の国際空港です。
• ターミナルは開放型で屋根はヤシの葉で覆われているため、到着と出発は空調の効いた閉じたホールではなく屋外の湿度の中で行われます。
• リゾート地にありながら非常に大規模な観光の玄関口で、2025 年の旅客数は 11,006,110 人、A と B の 2 つの国際線ターミナルで扱いました。
• Under CESAC security rules, vapes and electronic cigarettes may enter and leave the Dominican Republic, but only in hand luggage, never in checked bags.
• A dog or cat needs a vet health certificate and current vaccinations, plus a US$10 cash entry fee paid to Agriculture after customs, and the same fee again at the Agriculture counter before check-in on departure.
• Self-service check-in kiosks in Terminals A and B cover airlines including American, Delta, United, JetBlue, Spirit, Southwest, Air Canada and Air Transat.
• Check your terminal before the ride out: American, Delta, Copa, Avianca, British Airways, Southwest and Edelweiss use Terminal B, while most charter and leisure airlines use Terminal A.
• The airport's authorised taxi operators are the SIUTRATURAL, BERON TAXI and ASOTATUPAL groups, and the airport also publishes a map of Uber pick-up points.
• The US$10 tourist card has been built into the airfare since April 2018 under Decree 430-17, and the US$20 departure tax is usually included in the ticket too, so check with your airline.
• The Dominican E-Ticket, one digital form for immigration, customs and health, is compulsory for every passenger arriving or departing, so fill it in before you land at Punta Cana.
• Automated immigration kiosks in both terminals serve arriving passport holders from a listed group of countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Germany and Italy.
• Visitors who stay longer than 30 days pay an overstay penalty at a designated counter during departure immigration, at rates set by the Dirección General de Migración.
• Charging points are in the check-in areas and the A1 and A2 waiting areas of Terminal A, and in check-in, the food courts and boarding areas B1 and B2 of Terminal B.
• Tour operator desks for pre-booked transfers sit at the end of customs in both terminals, and guests of the Four Points by Sheraton at Puntacana Village get a free shuttle.
