Hagatnaで知っておきたいこと
- Hagatna had 943 residents at the 2020 census and is the second smallest of Guam's 19 municipalities in both area and population, yet it is the territory's capital.
- Guam joined the North American Numbering Plan on 1 July 1997 with area code 671. Before that, callers from the mainland dialled 011-671 and paid international rates.
- Guam is a trans-Pacific cable hub with five landing stations, Tanguisson, Tumon Bay, Tata Piti, GTA Piti-I and a neutral GNC site, carrying systems including SEA-US, AJC, TPC-5 and PPC-1.
- The island's public buses run Monday to Saturday from 5:30 to 19:30, with no service on Sundays or holidays.
- United's Island Hopper, flights 154 and 155, links Honolulu to Guam with stops at Majuro, Kwajalein, Kosrae, Pohnpei and Chuuk. It takes about 16 hours including ground time and has run since 1968.
