- Piarco is about 30 km east of downtown Port of Spain, so the airport is not walking-or-short-hop distance from the city.
- The Public Transport Service Corporation runs only an hourly weekday bus between the airport and City Gate in Port of Spain; privately run taxis with fixed fares are the other option.
- The airport authority's free Wi-Fi is branded 'Piarco_AirportWifi', and the Tourism Information office additionally provides a free-to-use PC.
- Trinidad has no rail or metro system, so all onward travel from Piarco into Port of Spain is by road.
