ANTEL, Uruguay's state telecom, staffs a counter in the Carrasco Airport Arrivals Hall from Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 19:00 - outside those hours there is no telecom desk listed in the terminal.
Uruguay's mobile market is served by three operators - ANTEL, Movistar and Claro - according to the regulator URSEC.
Carrasco Airport runs a free Wi-Fi portal covering the entire airport, so an arriving traveller can get online before leaving the terminal.
Montevideo's city government lists buses, car rental, taxis and remises as the ways to reach the city centre from Carrasco, and puts the terminal 23 km from the centre by road.
Montevideo has no metro or underground rail, so there is no tunnel section where a mobile signal would drop between the airport and the city.
