- Limassol não tem aeroporto próprio: Larnaca fica cerca de 60 km a nordeste e Paphos cerca de 50 km a noroeste, ambos mais ou menos a uma viagem de ônibus intermunicipal.
- Os dois aeroportos são ligados à cidade pelo Limassol Airport Express, que sai da estação Chavouzas e não da orla ou da cidade velha.
- Limassol concentra quase todo o tráfego de barcos de passageiros do Chipre, então quem chega de cruzeiro desembarca aqui, e não em algum aeroporto.
- O Chipre não tem ferrovia de passageiros desde que o último trem circulou em 31 de dezembro de 1951, então o traslado do aeroporto é por estrada, seja qual for o aeroporto.
