Seville 值得知道的事
- There is no rail link into Seville airport; the Airport Express bus is the public transport option and takes about 40 minutes to Plaza de Armas.
- The Airport Express stops at Santa Justa, the AVE high-speed station, so onward travel to Madrid or Cordoba does not require crossing the city.
- Seville's council runs free outdoor wifi under the SSID WiFi4EU, funded by the EU programme, at sites such as Plaza de America, with no personal data collected and no login.
- TUSSAM buses and the Metrocentro tram carry free onboard wifi under the SSID Tussam, entered through a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram login or an AppTussam account rather than a phone number.
- Metro de Sevilla was the first metro in Spain to take EMV contactless bank cards and phones straight at the gate, a system called Tap&Go launched in September 2020 for half a million euros.
- A traveller without a contactless card can still buy a single journey on a reloadable card from vending machines at Metro de Sevilla stations, priced from 1.35 to 1.80 euros by zone.
- Spanish law 25/2007 obliges operators to record a prepaid SIM buyer's name, surnames, nationality and identity document number, and to deactivate cards that cannot be registered.
- The tunnelled central stretch of Metro de Sevilla Line 1 runs over 5 km between Nervion and La Plata at an average depth of 16 metres, built by boring machine, cut and cover, and viaduct.
- Seville Metro Line 1 opened on 2 April 2009, making Seville the sixth Spanish city with a metro, after Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao and Palma de Mallorca.
- Santa Justa station is the southern terminus of the Madrid to Seville line, Spain's first high speed AVE route, opened on 21 April 1992 in time for Expo 92.
- After the Madrid to Seville AVE opened, rail's share of travel between the two cities rose from 16 percent to 51 percent by 1994, while air travel's share fell from 40 percent to 13 percent.
