- Valencia airport is only 8 km west of the city and two Metrovalencia lines (3 and 5) run directly into it, reaching the centre in about 15 minutes.
- The same metro ride reaches the main railway station, Estacio del Nord, in about 20 minutes and the port in about 30.
- Valencia city hall runs a free WiFi4EU network with more than 300 access points across the city's neighbourhoods, reached through an access portal published in Valencian, Spanish and English.
- The city's free wifi points sit in municipal buildings, district offices and 30 neighbourhood libraries, with further points indoors and outdoors in the rural villages inside the municipality.
- Every WiFi4EU hotspot broadcasts the same SSID, WiFi4EU, and uses a captive portal with simple click to connect. A device that has connected does not need to authenticate again within 12 hours.
- European rules require a WiFi4EU hotspot to be free of charge for its first three years, with no advertising revenue on the captive portal and no personal data provided for commercial purposes.
- EMT Valencia buses take contactless bank cards, phones and watches at the on board machines using EMV technology. The EMTicket app instead generates a QR code that you validate on the bus.
- Under MovimEMT you first register a bank card, physical or virtual, in EMT Valencia's personal online space, then tap it on the bus. After 41 journeys the rest of the month is free.
- Single Metrovalencia tickets are sold only at station machines, which accept credit and debit cards. The network has three fare zones, A, B and B+, with the airport in the B+ airport zone.
- Metrovalencia runs six rapid transit lines and four tram lines serving 146 stations, of which 38 are underground and 108 are on the surface.
- The metro station for Valencia Airport is on the ground floor of the regional flights terminal. Lines 3 and 5 run every 15 minutes on working days and about every 20 minutes at weekends and on holidays.
- Metrobus line 150, run by Fernanbus, links Valencia Airport with the city centre and stops at Mislata, Quart de Poblet and Manises. There is no Sunday service.
- Spanish law 25/2007 obliges mobile operators selling prepaid cards to keep a register with the buyer's name, surnames and nationality, plus the number and the type of the identity document used.
- The Jardin del Turia runs for more than nine kilometres along the old bed of the Turia, diverted south of the city after the devastating floods of 1957. Valencia was European Green Capital in 2024.
