- The Subte opened in 1913 and was the first underground railway in Latin America, the Southern Hemisphere and the Spanish-speaking world the 13th subway network built anywhere.
- Ezeiza has no rail or metro connection of any kind; ground access is by airport bus, local colectivo, taxi or car only.
- The two airports sit at very different distances from town: Aeroparque is 2 km northwest of downtown on the Río de la Plata, while Ezeiza is about 22 km south-southwest.
- Ezeiza handles 85% of Argentina's international air traffic, while Aeroparque mostly serves domestic routes and regional South American destinations so a long-haul arrival almost always lands at the farther airport.
