Luxorで知っておきたいこと
- The West Bank monuments are reached across the Nile: the local (National) ferry still runs from a landing opposite Luxor Temple, and a bridge opened in 1998 a few kilometres upstream of the town gives road access.
- Luxor railway station is about 400 m from Luxor Temple, with a morning train and a sleeper among several daily services along the Nile between Cairo and Aswan.
- The airport is only 6 km east of the city but has no public bus, minibus or rail link, so arrivals depend on the taxi rank, pre-booked hotel transfers or ride-hailing that needs working mobile data.
- Luxor International is run by the Egyptian Airport Company and mixes domestic flights to Cairo, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh with heavily seasonal European charter and scheduled services.
