- Fes-Saiss Airport is about 13 km from the city and handles mainly European and North African routes rather than long-haul.
- Fes has no metro or tram; ground movement in the walled medina is on foot, because its lanes are too narrow for vehicles.
- Fes's urban bus network changed hands on 11 September 2025, when Issal Fes, a subsidiary of national coach operator CTM, took over from the previous operator City Bus.
- Issal Fes is rolling out the city's bus network progressively over six months from the September 2025 takeover, with full deployment following delivery of newly ordered buses.
- Fes's bus handover forms part of a national programme worth 11 billion dirhams to supply 3,746 new buses to 37 delegated transport authorities across Morocco.
