- Marrakesh is the southern terminus of Morocco's ONCF passenger railway; the line runs north to Casablanca but no further south.
- Menara Airport has taken direct North American flights only since 2024, so most long-haul arrivals still connect via Europe or Casablanca.
- Marrakesh's urban and suburban bus network changed operator on 15 December 2025, when Supratours, an ONCF subsidiary, replaced the Spanish company ALSA after 26 years.
- The buses Supratours brought to Marrakesh carry air conditioning and wifi, and the fare was held at 5 dirhams a ticket through the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after the handover.
- Supratours plans 67 urban and suburban lines in Marrakesh covering 1,342.7 km, starting with 207 buses in service and building toward a fleet of 349.
- Marrakesh Menara passed 10 million annual passengers for the first time in 2025, reaching 10,197,736, up 10.09 percent on 9,263,261 in 2024, according to ONDA figures.
- Work began in April 2025 on the high speed line from Kenitra to Marrakesh, which is to terminate at a new Marrakech Palmeraie station at commercial speeds up to 320 km per hour.
- A further high speed extension beyond Marrakesh to Agadir was announced in May 2026: 550 km through Essaouira for 87 billion dirhams, due in June 2030, cutting the trip to 1 hour 45.
- Morocco has required every SIM card buyer to be identified against an official document since a 2014 ANRT ruling, and operators may deactivate cards that stay unidentified.
- Morocco's three mobile operators launched commercial 5G on 7 November 2025. Orange Maroc said its 5G reached 135 provinces and prefectures at launch.
