Harry Reid International Airport sits roughly five miles (8 km) south of downtown Las Vegas, unusually close to the city it serves.
RTC public buses pick up only at Terminal 1 on Level Zero; arrivals at Terminal 3 must exit baggage claim and take the inter-terminal shuttle to Terminal 1 first.
Las Vegas has no metro or subway. The Las Vegas Monorail is a seven-station elevated line running 3.9 miles along the east side of the Strip from MGM Grand to SAHARA Las Vegas in about 15 minutes, with trains every four to eight minutes, and it does not reach the airport.
The Las Vegas Monorail opened on 15 July 2004 and an extension to Harry Reid International Airport has been proposed but remains only in planning.
