- Curaçao's public buses come in two sizes: large Konvoi buses and small vans called Bus. Most leave from terminals in front of the post offices in Punda and Otrabanda, and schedules are on the ABC website and in the ABC app.
- Taxis on Curaçao are government-regulated and have no meters. Fares are mostly standard, so ask the driver the price to your destination before you set off.
- At the airport, authorized taxis wait in a designated area outside the Arrivals Hall. Public buses stop beside the Departures Hall and just past the Arrivals Hall.
- Every foreign visitor must complete the Digital Immigration card online at dicardcuracao.com within the 7 days before departure, as it is needed to clear immigration on arrival.
- Eligible passport holders can sign up for the Curaçao Express Pass in the Airside app before flying and then use the e-Gates in the Arrivals Hall. Anyone travelling with minors has to use a staffed immigration booth.
- The airport check-in hall opens daily from 06:00 to midnight, and access may be restricted to passengers only.
- Car rental counters in the Arrivals Hall generally open an hour before the first departing flight and close two hours after the last. Off-airport rental firms run shuttles, which you should arrange in advance.
- Airport parking machines take Caribbean guilders (XCG) in coins or notes, US dollar notes, and debit or credit cards including contactless. The first 15 minutes are free.
- The Queen Emma Bridge linking Punda and Otrabanda is a pedestrian pontoon bridge that swings aside to let ships through. While it is open, two free ferries carry people across the water.
- Mobile reception is good almost everywhere on Curaçao, though some remote spots are patchier than downtown Willemstad. Nearly every place to stay has Wi-Fi, and downtown has many open networks.
- Curaçao has no ride-sharing services, so taxis, rental cars and buses are the ways to get around.
- Outlets supply 110 to 130 volts at 50 Hz with the two-pin Type A plug used in the US. Some hotels and apartments also have 220-volt European sockets, and adaptors are sold on the island.
- The TUI ticket office at Curaçao airport sells tickets for almost all airlines, useful if plans change, while KLM's office is near the Curaçao Airport Hotel.
