Pas de réseau après l'atterrissage. Que vérifier ?
iPhone

Why roaming is off by default, and why it is safe to turn on
Both iOS and Android default the roaming switch to off on a newly added line, because on a home operator's line roaming is where the expensive surprises live. On the Orbislo line there is no per megabyte charge behind that switch. You have already paid for the gigabytes, and reaching a partner network is the only way the line works at all. The switch is per line, so turning it on does nothing to your home SIM.
When the switch was already on
Then the line is registering and something else is in the way. Work through these in order, because they are ordered by how often they are the answer.
- Confirm Orbislo is set as the line for mobile data, not just enabled
- Airplane mode on, wait ten seconds, airplane mode off. This forces a fresh network scan
- Turn off automatic network selection and pick a partner network named on your country page
- If there is a second partner network listed, try that one
- Restart the phone once. It is a cliche and it clears a stuck registration
iPhone against Android
The switches are the same two on both platforms and they live in different places. On iPhone: Settings, Cellular, Orbislo for the roaming switch, then back to Cellular Data to choose the line. On Android: Settings, Network and internet, SIMs, Orbislo for roaming, and the mobile data line is set from the same screen or from SIM manager depending on the manufacturer.
What the phone is telling you
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No bars, no network name | The line has not registered anywhere | Turn on Data Roaming for the Orbislo line |
| A network name, no data | Registered on a host that is not passing our traffic | Pick a partner network manually from your country page |
| Searching, then nothing, repeatedly | A stuck registration | Airplane mode on, ten seconds, off |
| Bars on the home line only | The phone is still using your home SIM for data | Set Cellular Data, or the mobile data SIM, to Orbislo |
If none of the four match, ask Ori. It runs over the free 100 MB a month of rescue data, so it works with no connection at all.
What we do automatically and what needs you
We hold 157 upstream networks and move you between the ones we hold in your country when the phone lets us. We cannot turn on a roaming switch from here, because no network can reach into a phone that is not yet on a network. That is the whole reason this is the most common ticket we get, and the whole reason the fix takes fifteen seconds.
The numbers, and where they came from
About sixty percent of no service tickets are Data Roaming left off. The rest are mostly a stuck registration that an airplane mode cycle clears. In 5 of our 145 destinations we have only one upstream network, so there is no second one to switch to, and those are marked on the coverage page before you buy rather than discovered on arrival.
