Mexico City Metro compte 12 lignes.
- The city government's free Wi-Fi network is called CDMX-Internet para Todos. It asks for no username, password or personal data, and its points sit at Metrobus and Cablebus stations, public schools, housing estates, public spaces and C5 street poles.
- Each CDMX-Internet para Todos access point reaches about 20 metres in the open and handles roughly 40 users at once. A user gets 5 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up, or 3 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up, depending on the point.
- Mexico City's official visitor guide counts more than 35,550 free hotspots, often marked with a sign, built on spare bandwidth of the C5 security camera network. The same system serves almost all public libraries and PILARES community centres, though crowded central spots can fill up.
- Metro ticket booths stopped selling and accepting paper tickets on 1 March 2024, ending 55 years of magnetic tickets. The Integrated Mobility Card, known as the MI card, is now the only way through the Metro gates.
- The MI card costs 15 pesos plus your first trip, holds up to 500 pesos, and is sold for cash at every Metro ticket booth and at Metrobus, Cablebus and light rail machines. Phones with NFC can top it up through the App CDMX or Mercado Pago.
- One MI card works on the Metro, Metrobus, the three Cablebus lines, the light rail to Xochimilco, trolleybuses including the elevated line in Iztapalapa, RTP buses, Ecobici bikes and the El Insurgente train towards Toluca.
- Benito Juarez airport's Metrobus boards at gate 7 of Terminal 1 and gate 2 of Terminal 2. It runs every day from 04:30 to midnight, starting at 05:00 on Sundays and holidays, and takes the Metrobus smart card sold at machines in both terminals.
- The Tren Felipe Angeles to AIFA opened on 26 April 2026. At launch the Buenavista to airport trip took about 60 minutes against a design time of 43, with trains every 30 minutes and a planned interval of 12 once more trains enter service.
- Trains between Buenavista and AIFA run from 05:00 to midnight on weekdays, from 06:00 on Saturdays and from 07:00 on Sundays and holidays, calling at Cueyamil, La Loma, Teyahualco, Prados Sur, Cajiga and Xaltocan on the new section.
