• Port Moresby had 756,754 residents at the 2024 census and sits on the Coral Sea on the south western coast of the Papuan Peninsula. Motu, Tok Pisin and English are the main languages spoken.
• Port Moresby hosted the APEC summit in November 2018, which brought world leaders to the city.
