- The official airport taxis are yellow and carry Auto Holiday Albania and airport logos on both sides. The ride to central Tirana takes 20 to 25 minutes and costs about 2,200 Leke, and cabs can be booked ahead at tiataxi.al.
- Besides the hourly city bus, a second line links the airport with the South and North Bus Terminal every full hour from 07:00 to 18:00, taking 20 to 30 minutes, for onward coaches across the country.
- The Tirana airport bus costs 400 ALL, or 4 euros. For journeys beyond the capital, the airport points travellers to eTransport, a national platform listing every official bus line, station and timetable.
- GoOpti shuttles connect Tirana airport with Pristina, Podgorica and Skopje. Seats must be booked online in advance, and the vans wait in marked bays close to the terminal.
- Free public internet now covers Skanderbeg Square and the New Bazaar under WiFi4WB, an EU funded programme rolling out hotspots across 73 public areas in 61 Albanian municipalities.
- Tirana also runs filtered Friendly Wi-Fi zones, set up with UNICEF, at Skanderbeg Square and in the Murat Toptani pedestrian area, where illegal and adult content is blocked.
- The Dajti Ekspres cable car climbs from the city's edge to Mount Dajti in about 15 minutes. It runs 09:00 to 18:30 on weekdays and to 19:00 at weekends, closes on Tuesdays, and sells tickets only at the lower station.
- To reach the cable car by bus, take the blue Porcelan line from the clock tower near Skanderbeg Square. It runs 05:30 to midnight, every 5 to 20 minutes, takes 20 to 30 minutes and costs 40 Leke.
- A rebuilt railway from Durres through Tirana to the airport is under modernisation, and the government expects regular passenger trains on it by the end of 2027.
- Power outlets for charging phones and laptops are spread throughout the terminal at Tirana International.
