- De Lijn bus 31 shuttles between Antwerpen-Berchem station and the front of the airport terminal in about five minutes, every 15 minutes, daily from 05:20 to 01:20.
- From Berchem, frequent trains reach Antwerpen-Centraal in five minutes, and trams 9 and 11 continue to the Meir, Groenplaats and Rooseveltplaats, which is where most regional De Lijn buses start.
- Every De Lijn tram and bus has a white terminal that accepts Belgian and foreign contactless cards, phones and watches. One card can pay for up to five people if tapped again within two minutes, and changing vehicles within 60 minutes costs nothing extra.
- Contactless fares on De Lijn are settled overnight: 3 euros is reserved for each ride during the day, and the final charge, reflecting how many trips you made, can take up to three working days to reach your account.
- Central Antwerp and Linkeroever form a low emission zone around the clock. A car with foreign plates, other than Dutch ones, must be registered for free no later than the day after it enters; fines start at 150 euros, and the registration also covers Ghent.
- The Sint-Annatunnel, a pedestrian and cycle tunnel under the Scheldt, is open 24 hours a day and reached by escalators and lifts. Cyclists may only ride through at walking pace, 5 km/h, and the free Sint-Annaveer ferry also crosses between the two banks.
- Antwerpen-Centraal and Antwerpen-Berchem are among the Belgian stations with free SNCB wifi in the halls, corridors and on the platforms, available after creating a MySNCB account.
- Velo, Antwerp's shared bike scheme, has 4,200 bikes in docking stations across the city and its districts. Day passes, week passes and subscriptions are bought in the Velo app, which also shows free bikes and empty docks nearby.
