- Metro Line A has 4G and 5G in all 27 stations and the tunnels between them, finished in September 2025 using about 1,500 small antennas, after the first nine stations went live on 1 April that year.
- Work to bring 4G and 5G to Metro Lines B and B1 is under way, while Line C is still being designed. The Roma 5G plan covers 75 existing stations and their tunnels, handled from a radio equipment room at Piazza Vittorio station.
- ROMACAPITALE_WIFI is the city's free outdoor network in squares such as Piazza del Popolo, Piazza del Campidoglio and Piazza Trilussa. Enter an email address once and you can move between squares without confirming again for two weeks.
- ATAC's Tap&Go takes contactless Mastercard, Visa, American Express, JCB, UnionPay, Maestro and V Pay cards on every ATAC surface line, Roma TPL buses, all of Metro A, B, B1 and C, and the regional railways it runs.
- A Tap&Go journey lasts 100 minutes from the first tap, and changes within that window count as one ride. After five rides in 24 hours, the sixth is billed so the day costs no more than a 24-hour ticket. Each traveller needs their own card.
- Rome taxis charge a fixed 55 euro per car, all supplements included, between Fiumicino and anywhere inside the Aurelian Walls, a trip of about 40 to 50 minutes. From Ciampino the fixed fare is 40 euro and the ride about 30 minutes.
- Airport fixed fares apply only to a direct trip to the address given, with no detours or extra pickups. Licensed Rome taxis are white, with TAXI on the roof and the licence number on the front doors; check the meter is on and ask for a receipt.
- The daytime ZTL Centro Storico is closed to unauthorised cars from 6:30 to 18:00 on weekdays and 14:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays, and a night ZTL runs 23:00 to 3:00 on Friday and Saturday, except in August.
